High Bank Distillery Co. is proud to announce “Corbin's Collection”, an exclusive release featuring three 10-year Whiskey War expressions. Marking a milestone for the award-winning Columbus distillery, the collection celebrates patience, craftsmanship and the rebellious spirit that started it all.
Prohibition is said to have started just 12 miles from our High Bank facility, in Westerville, Ohio. In 1875, a man named Henry Corbin took a chance and opened a saloon in an area known to strongly oppose the consumption of distilled spirits. Not once, but twice, the saloon was blown up. It was said before the first explosion, Henry came outside to address the protesters with two pistols drawn. That single act is believed to have ignited the Whiskey Wars of prohibition and launched the Anti-Saloon League.
Corbin's Collection brings this story full circle.

Tasting Notes: The nose opens with rich aromas of nougat, caramel apple, vanilla cream, and buttery puff pastry. On the palate, notes of rye chip, raisin, butterscotch, and oak are balanced by hints of black tea, lemon, and honey. A long, lingering finish reveals layers of leather, lemon, and black tea, complemented by medium tannins and a smooth, medium-viscosity mouthfeel.

Our classic Whiskey War Barrel Proof, given a second maturation in a new charred oak barrel with a total age statement of at least 10 years.
Tasting Notes: The nose opens with inviting aromas of maple, cherry, grape hard candy, and sweet taffy. On the palate, toasted oak and tobacco mingle with rich notes of berry, maple, and fig, balanced by a touch of peppery spice. The finish is short and dry, leaving lingering hints of tobacco and rye.

Our classic Whiskey War Barrel Proof that has been aged in French Oak Pinot Noir barrels with a total age statement of at least 10 years.
Tasting Notes: The nose opens with decadent aromas of berries and cream, chocolate mousse, cranberry, clove, and graham cracker. On the palate, warm notes of cinnamon and clove mingle with juicy raspberry, tart cranberry, and ripe plum, complemented by rich dark chocolate and smooth vanilla cream.
Corbin's Collection will be available starting Friday, November 13th at High Bank Co.’s retail shops in Grandview, Gahanna and Westerville. Bottles will also be available in select Ohio Liquor stores across the state. Limit 1 bottle of each expression per person.
