WHY HIGH BANK BOURBON?
When Ohio forged plans for the state capital, Franklinton was the first choice—close to water, with established infrastructure. But the risk of flooding was too great. So, on February 14th, 1812, the state legislature made an uncompromising decision to build on the High Bank, opposite Franklinton, at the fork of the Scioto and Olentangy Rivers also known as Wolf’s Ridge. That same bold, uncompromising spirit inspires everything we do here at High Bank Distillery Co.
COCKTAIL IDEAS
50/50 Manhattan
1 oz BP Bourbon
1 oz Blanc Vermouth
2 dashes Orange Bitters
Combine bourbon, vermouth and bitters into a mixing glass. Add ice and stir. Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with a luxardo cherry.
NY SOUR
2 oz BP Bourbon
1 oz Simple Syrup
1 oz Lemon Juice
0.5 oz Red Wine
Combine bourbon, simple and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake. Strain over a large ice cube. Gently pour the red wine on top. Garnish with lemon peel.
