High Bank Distillery Co. has teamed up with Columbus’ premier sports radio station, 97.1 The Fan, to release two exclusive Single Barrel Picks: Whiskey War Barrel Select Pedro Ximénez Double Oaked and Whiskey War Barrel Select French Oak Cognac. Hand-selected by radio host and sports personality Beau Bishop alongside the 97.1 The Fan team, these limited-release barrels showcase unique finishing profiles and High Bank’s nationally recognized whiskey craftsmanship. These bottles are released in support of the Ronald McDonald House and its mission to support families and children in medical crises.

Our signature Whiskey War Barrel Proof aged for 2 months in a Pedro Ximenez XL barrel, then 2 months in a new American white oak barrel.
Tasting Notes: On the palate, it shows a rich, creamy sherry-oak character that feels rounded and comforting. The nose offers notes of grape and vanilla, lifted by a subtle hint of pepper for a gentle spice on the finish.

Tasting Notes: The palate opens with bright grape and vanilla tones, layered with soft raisin sweetness and a warm touch of caramel. On the nose, tropical fruit aromas lead the way, supported by raisin and the nostalgic sweetness of grape hard candy.
The 97.1 The Fan Single Barrel Picks will be available in limited quantities at High Bank Distillery Co. locations (Grandview, Gahanna, Westerville) starting Friday, December 12th at 11AM. Bottles will also be available in select OHLQ stores throughout Ohio, later this month.
